All Hands: Public Safety Leadership Lessons Applied to Business and Life!

In public safety there is a radio communication announcement, All Hands. "All hands going to work (or operating)”. This is a signal that is given by a public safety incident commander indicating that all personnel enroute or on scene of a confirmed emergency will be working to mitigate the emergency.

In public safety as well as all areas of life, it takes leadership from all members of a team, company, agency or organization in order to achieve success and complete the mission.

During this presentation, participants will learn how public safety leadership techniques will solve multiple emergency and non-emergency situations and can be applied to all walks of life.

    Our Presenter Will Be:

    John Yovanovitch

For over 25 years, John Yovanovitch has served as a public safety first responder having served in volunteer, combination and career departments. In both the volunteer and career service, John has risen to the rank of company officer. He currently serves as the Occupational Safety and Health officer for a large metropolitan department and assists with the clinical education of the 450 responders in the cities two-tiered ALS system. In addition, together with his wife Nettie, serve as volunteer responders in their home community. John is completing his bachelor’s degree in Fire Administration at Colombia Southern as well a recent graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Managing Officer Program. John has also been an educator his entire adult life, serving not just in his public safety departments, but he also serves as adjunct faculty at a local college.
