    M-100: THE ESSENTIALS OF COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT

    Successful community management starts with the essentials! This comprehensive community association management course provides a practical overview for new managers, an essential review for veteran managers and an advanced course for board members. Successful completion of the M-100 can be the first step toward earning the CMCA credential, awarded by CAMICB. Review the Continuing Education Course Matrix to learn more.

    • Roles and responsibilities of managers, owners, committees and the board
    • Management ethics
    • Developing, implementing and enforcing rules
    • Organizing and conducting board meetings
    • Preparing budgets and funding reserves
    • Assessment collection policies and procedures
    • Collecting delinquent payments
    • Financial statements, reporting methods and operations
    • Evaluating risk management and insurance programs
    • Implementing maintenance programs
    • Preparing bid requests and identifying key contract provisions
    • Recruiting, selecting and managing personnel
    • Managing sustainable and developing communities

     

    Course Materials

    We will ship an M-100 Participant Guide to all course participants. Note: The Participant Guide is a reference book for this class – you do not need it to successfully complete the course. Along with your course registration you also have access to a wide array of relevant resources—including sample documents, pertinent articles from CAI publications, and much more.

    Course Length

    2 days | 12:00PM - 4:00PM EST, both days
    The virtual M-100 course will be streamed live on Wednesday, August 12-Thursday, August 13, from 12 Noon to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time both days. You must attend both sessions and pass the final exam to receive credit for the course. This course fulfills all regular continuing education requirements through CAI and CAMICB. We recommend you take the course on a desktop or laptop computer for the best experience, and log-in 10-15 minutes before the start the course to ensure you are connected to the broadcast.
